When I was a research assistant in the Biochemistry department at UBC (many, many years ago), I got my lab involved with a science co-op program at Sutherland Secondary in North Vancouver. Grade 10 science students worked in our lab with myself and graduate students helping us with our research projects. The science students were thrilled with their placement in our lab because it was very hands on compared to their other placements. I loved the program as well. In fact, it was the impetus for me becoming a highschool science teacher. I would love my students to have the opportunity to participate in CSI@LSI.
